Totally agree with Sir Krishna and Georges Aref...In some case men are better shoppers and in some cases Women are better shoppers..it depends on choices and priorities..I don't know much because I don't go for shopping :)

Though based on facts it's both, though each one has certain traits & Weaknesses
Though "WOMEN" have keen interest to details & like to check out a lot of products before making the purchases thus making an fair deal are also very emotional thus end up buying more than what's needed :-)
Whereas average 'MEN' do not waste much time, never too much particular & always have options to one based on it's price and purchases are more likely based on 'Price'
Also based on what you are going to buy would also give an upper hand to each
If it's for Perfumes, Jewellary, Cloth's nobody can beat "Women" though :-)

women bargain for discount,buy only what they need thus spend less. buy the most attractive goods because they take their time doing the choosing.
ladies are more influenced by fashion and TV advertising and have impulse puchase so for us better shopper is lady -she buys moreð
but men mainly buy influenced by merchandising-for example if wife asked to buy for example coffee he will buy best visible product -he is not aware of brand mainly just well seen product is sold
in alcohol is totally different picture
generally men do not care on food product price -viceversa their perseption is-high price means good quality
Personally I believe women are better shoppers. The main reason is women has more patience then men when it come to shopping.
