Which is better, central package air conditioning system or central split air conditioning system in terms of maintenance?

Central Packaged system is easy to maintain.100% Sure

Central package A/C system is easy to maintain since it is at one place in an accessible area outside the building.
Whereas central split has more maintenance including additional refrigerant piping and two equipment(Indoor & Outdoor).
Some times indoor unit may not be easily accessible! Power consumption in packaged A/C is less also and capacity need not be derated due to long external piping as the case with central split system.

Central Split AC will be of advantage in terms of maintenance.

Packaged AC Unit (PACU) is only one unit usually installed outside the building (ROOF or ground) nobody will be disturbed or affected while doing the maintenance servicing while Central Split Unit or DX unit has two (2) components; one above or  inside the ceiling and the other outside also which will require the area beneath the indoor unit to be cleared or protected  to give way for maintenance servicing.
