RIP, EIGRP and OSPF are routing protocol. Protocol mean a set of rule and regulation to propagate or share  routing information between router.

There are two types of routing protocols

1. Distance vector routing protocol : in this protocol, a router informs its neighbors of topology changes periodically. Each node shares its routing table with its neighbor. Example: Routing Information Protocol (RIP) v1 and v2 and Inter Gateway Routing Protocol (IGRP)

2. Link state routing protocol: In this protocol every nodes (router) make a map of the connectivity to the network, showing which router connected to which routers and the calculate independently the best logical path from it to every possible destination to the network. The collection of best path will then form the router's routing table. The connectivity related information will pass between router. EX: Open Shortest Path Fast (OSPF).

Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol(EIGRP) is a Cisco propriety distance vector routing protocol. In this protocol a router shares routes with other router in the same autonomous system. Only incremental update will send, reducing the workload on the router and transmit data which is needed.

RIP, EIGRP and OSPF are both routing protocols. Routing mean search the best path from to. one criteria is choose to path from Home to desired location (Destination) through asking any person and other criteria is complete path has already knows. RIP works like the first one, OSPF likes the Second one and the EIGRP works the mixture both of them (Hy-bridge).

A routing protocol specifies how routers communicate with each other, disseminating information that enables them to select routes between any two nodes on a computer networkIPv4 routing protocols are classified as follows:RIPv1: (Routing information protocol)  it is a distance vector, classful protocol

IGRP:  (Interial gateway routing protocol) it alos  distance vector, classful protocol developed by Cisco (deprecated from12.2 IOS and later)

RIPv2: ( Routing information protocol version2) it is a distance vector, but classless protocol

EIGRP: ( Enhance interial gateway routing protocol) it is a distance vector, classless protocol developed by Cisco

OSPF:  (Open shortest path first) it is a link-state, classless protocol

IS-IS: (Intermediate system to Intermediate system) it is link-state, classless protocol

BGP:   (Border gateway protocol) it is a path-vector, classless protocol
