For a business organisation to be considered a 'good citizen', the most important thing it must do is:

 When we speak about making the company a good citizen we don't only speak about the stakeholders but we aim the environment of the company. Having the company's name out there is always good but we need good attention. So, activities like supporting organizations that clean beaches, plants trees, build schools, help young football teams, ... well have a good impact.

I know a company that pollute a whole city but no one speak up because they made that city into a city of flowers with a once a year flower festival and planted trees everywhere.
