Lady, presents with a diagnosis of Early Onset Dementia, she is58 years old. Previously educated to bachelors degree level and worked for school board.
Long and short term memory difficulties.
Has frequent bouts of acute confusion, due to dehydration and has had many hospital admissions for above.
Frequently forgets to drink & eat. Significant weight loss. Though not agitated, can become very confused due to hydration and nutritional loss.
Is alone most of the day.
SLP diagnosis: Dysphasia & Dysphagia.

First of all the lady need to go to the doctor who can diagnos what kind of dementia diseases she problebly has. Whit scaning of the brain, the docter can see wich part of the brain who are damage of the Dementia disease. It could be Alzheimer, lewy body, vascular blood dementia. But problemly Alzheimer disease or som mixt kind. And she need some medicine with anti-retroviral effect.
If the lady not get any help, she will get starving to death, and for shorts time she maby can have home carer for support her with feeding and cleaning.
And it's realy inportant that the family get right information and support abaut the Dementia diseases diagnos the lady got, and how the disease can develop and make her need more helping in the future.
For the long term the lady need to get in to a nursing home for people with Dementia Disease, there she can get the right help, medication, support, help and to unburden the family. She can have confortably and a good life even she have the Dementia disease in her last years in her life.
