Advocacy necessarily have to be hinged on objective, empirically rsearched and sound arguments. Anything short of that, and you'll be exposing yourself to a superior counter logic and aguement, which will mostly lead to ridicule and loss of credibility and audience from the public, policy makers and decision makers.
