How do you make it easier for your students to understand English grammar?

Grammar is the language according to some opinions. But anyhow they define grammar as the way how words are grouped together to form a sentence.

And if we put into consideration that grammar include: semantics, what words mean, morphology, how to compose sentences, and phonology, how to say words, we can say clearly if you need to make grammar study easier for students, an instructor needs to first classify the words of the language into group, known as parts of speech. By studying the parts of speech it will be easier to teach grammar; this is because grammar focuses on how to group such words in a specific order to make meaningful statements or sentences.

They should be learned Tense very clearly. The use of subject, object and verb need to be very much understandable to them. You must use a fearless attitude in their mind for keeping their confidence and attention while learning English Grammar.

Sometimes it depends on where the misunderstanding is taking place. For example, if the issue is difficulty understanding a rule and how to apply it, it should be enough, as many others mentioned, to simply provide many examples of the rule in context until the student becomes comfortable. However, sometimes there is a gap because that grammar concept may or may not exist in the students matrix grammar. In which case, there should be significant attention given to bridging this concept gap by using an interpreter if possible. If that is not possible, an explanation of the concept will be necessary. 

Grammar is not an easy task. It needs continuous practice of applying various rules on daily basis. Once you learn these rules then you will rarely need them to revise.
