True or False: When a company’s product is nontangible (a service), inventory is no longer a viable option?

I have not worked in the service industry yet, but I believe inventory exists in the service industry and unused inventory is lost sales opportunity.

e.g. Airline seats which are unsold are unused inventory once the aircraft has departed. As such when demand is high the price will be very high. This is the reason why tickets are cheap the earlier they are booked.
