How does Di-electric constant of a liquid (chemical) effect the selection of GWR level transmitters? Is there a safe value range that can be followed?

Is the 'Still Pipe' not an integral part of a GWR level transmitter?

GWR operation depends on the dielectric constant of liquid, higher the dielectric constant, better the signal will received. Therefore minimum dielectric constant for GWR is2.4. For interface measurement it should be keep in mind that the dielectric constant of upper fluid should be known and less than dielectric constant of lower, and the difference between the dielectric constants for the two products must be larger than6. Also note that the requirement of dielectric constant also varies with the selection of probe.

Still pipe is not required for GWR, for larger tanks a hanging weight is provided.
