How can i teach a child not to waste money and start saving ?

Whenever you give pocket money to your child, ask where he spend this. After that you can tell him that which things he buy uselessly and where he can save his money. 

You can also give him the task that how much money he save in the end of the month you will double that money and will purchase anything he like with the saved money.
