I agree with you.This, however, has raised a doubt to me.
Sometimes you can underestimate a candidate who merely informs only the bare essentials for not appearing pompous?Perhaps I'm wrong, but I am always short specific in my cv.I often see where the candidate CV praise himself, constantly.Certainly there is a link between this and the people who are cheater personality.

We should see the recent experience relates to the skills and kind of work employer looking for !!
It depends on the nature of the project, sometimes experience is important or education vice versa.
Number of years in experience and skills acquired during those years. Usually when I sit down with HR to do interviews we pay attention to terminology in the field, how well that person is acquainted with the field itself.. School and grades is not an issue, previous employers and where they worked usually goes out the window. We also ask questions that puts candidate on spot. Even though many lie on their CV's we have a tendency to catch that, we can tell by their answers.
