To my perception, negotiation skills are not separate from the other traits of ones personality.
These two are closely related.
Now to the specifics.What one should do to improve his/her negotiaion skills?1.KNOW YOURSELF2.BELIEVE IN YOURSELF3.CHALLENGE YOURSELF4.Make specific your Targets after you have thoroughly examined your bad and good points regarding your Personality and Negotiation traits(1)5.Practise and Feedback, Practise and Feedback, Practise and Feedback...
the more you practise and the more Feedback you have each time you negotiate the better you become.6.Also, in parallel, with above mentioned process ,another thing one should always do is to get new or rehearse old knowledge about negotiation.
Concepts that one tends to forget in the daily routine come again in one's mind as s/he studies new or old negotiation material/stuff.7.Knowing /understanding the relationship and all of its founding elements with the other part is, needles to say, NECESSARY.

hello, here is my personal recipe:
1- HUMILITY
2- Deep knowledge of your products/ services or needs.

3- Consider your Customer/ Provider as a real Partner for a win/win deal and let him feel it.

4- Be aware of your flexibility before any negotiation.
5-Keep in mind your target and never let your Partner feel it!! thank you to help me to improve it by completing above list! Wish you all good deals!
