On what basis you decide that an activity should be defined as task based or resource based?

Task based activity is used when you require to load multiple resources working together for the activity and these resources use the activity calendar.
Resource based activity is used when u need to have multiple resources loaded for the activity which uses separate resource calendars and also these resources work independently and doesn't depend on the activity calendar.

The base at which an activity is to be defined as a task dependent activity ,is the case when the activity does not need any resource to be assigned to it or the resources that need to be assigned to it only use the activity calendar to define the activity dates and duration.
On the other hand an activity can be defined as a resource dependent ,if the resources calendars govern the definition of both dates and the duration of the activity.

Prioritizing the required tasks according to the importance and its due date

I always  give the priorty those who are urgent work we need to do first.

Task to do first based on the closest deadline as per my schedule.

Prioritizing the most important task and consider the date due.

As a Manager, you should be able enough to understand the processes being done under your command and how much time it takes by your subordinates to perform the task.

Keeping in view that all employees are not equally talented you need to acertain which task is best to be given as a task to a resource.

 

 

Make schedule of the priority works and act accordingly

According to the situation work can be done. mostily work done in a group is best but on some extent completion of work require individual effort.
