You need to make sure that you don't keep your laptop battery charging all the time. You should empty it and recharge it frequently. Same for you cellphone. A battery should reach the low levels and then gets recharged.
laptop battery : do not over charge it.what i do is i charge the laptop until it's full then i unplug the charger and so on .
Phone battery: try to switch off unneccessary features like locations, blutooth, wifi unless needed. and drain the battery every once in a while.
laptops battery life decreases fast due to continue charging it .
if you are using your laptop during charing its okay but if laptop is being charge and it is shutdown then tihs is not good for battery as battery is being charged but it is in rest position
secondly keep your mobile phone away form electronic devices like pc ,Television etc as handset loses it data very easily and u may get in problem in future
now a day smartphones are used by most of the people so use the mobile phone adaptor to charge mobile phone dont insert usb cable in pc and laptop ,it will slow down the speed of your handset and laptop

By using your mobile while it is not charging and discharging at the same time .
don't keep it all the time in charging. must charge when battery needs to be charged, keep internet connection or bluetooth off while not in use. and also keep background application off when not in use
1- use the original charger.
2-don't charge your battery unless the battery is7% and don't disconnect the charger if the battery is full while you still have more work cause it's directly move to the AC mode and this doesn't affect the battery at all.
just, minimize to use! to keep handling of that gadget
uninstall unwanted software from your system which consume precess in background.
by charging and discharging the battery, that by using the battery in everyday and not keeping the AC adapter connected always to the laptop.
use company recommended battery charger or adapter
Don't keep it on charging every time. Perform a full charge once and when it is about to empty, plug your charger again.
