You can also say biological & non-biological. Biological type is more for biodegradable waste (of course), such as domestic waste. Non-bio is based on chemical reactions, normally for industrial waste. I think physical treatment like crushing & filtering, normally it comes as a pretreatment process for the main bio/non-bio process.
