This Question depends on your surrent level of experience.
a little experience would make your MBA experience more exciting and meaningful compared to if you were a fresh graduate.
Also, as mentioned else where, there are management courses for engineers, this type of management courses are what would an employer look for.
take it from my experience; pure general management MBA is not enough anymore, specialize.

I ought to say yes, because I have a similar background, it is an excellent base for wide variety of specialisms.
But succeeding in your career depends fully on your personal interests and capacities.
So I in my opinion, excelling in your preferred profession guarantees your career.

Definitely, YES! An engineer, is a qualified techie.
Only when he understands the commercial application of such talents, he can deliver the BEST! Otherwise, one needs to spoon-feed him on the applicability and benefits of technical implications.
