Hard skills are teachable abilities or skill sets that are easy to quantify.

Examples of hard skills include:

  • Proficiency in a foreign language
  • A degree or certificate
  • Typing speed, Computer programming, Machine repairing

Soft skills, on the other hand, are subjective skills that are much harder to quantify. Also known as "people skills" or "interpersonal skills," soft skills relate to the way you relate to and interact with other people. Examples of soft skills include:

Which we learn and get certified are called hard skills, eg MBA CP. After learning which is our practice or reaction according our education is soft skills. If we get education about computer technology then we do business. Achievements in business are our soft skills. In other words, which we get physical shape is called hard skills and which change sychologically is called soft skills.

Questions are always a path to new knowledge. So , Regard to your question, let me jot down something what I think might help you.

Hard skills are something that we learn from books in school. There are usually designated level of competency and direct path as how to excel with each skill. Accounting is the best example of hard skill. You can take up basic accounting and then advance accounting courses. You can then work to get experience and take an exam to be a certified CPA etc..

Coming to soft skills, It is something that we learn on the job by trial and error. You can of course achieve training of soft skills  but, a soft skill is developed once when you have a chance or situation to work  on it. Examples of soft skills -  Time Management abilities, Problem Solving attitude, Pressure Handling skills etc.

Hope this helps you .

Hard skills are teachable abilities or skill sets that are easy to quantify.

Examples of hard skills include:

  • Proficiency in a foreign language
  • A degree or certificate
  • Typing speed
  • Machine operation
  • Computer programming

These hard skills are often listed in your cover letter and on your resume, and are easy for an employer or recruiter to recognize.

Soft skills, on the other hand, are subjective skills that are much harder to quantify. Also known as "people skills" or "interpersonal skills," soft skills relate to the way you relate to and interact with other people.

Examples of soft skills include:

  • Teamwork
  • Communication
  • Flexibility
  • Patience
  • Persuasion
  • Time Management
  • Motivation

Skills Employers Look For

While certain hard skills are necessary for any position, employers are looking increasingly for job applicants with particular soft skills. This is because, while it is easy for an employer to train a new employee in a particular hard skill (such as how to use a certain computer program), it is much more difficult to train an employee in a soft skill (such as patience).

Soft skills are related to your behavior& attitude and it's more interpersonal. exmaple: Communication skills , organization, time management...act. On the other hand, hard skills are basically those technical skills you need to meet to the job requirement, example: Computer skills, programming, keyboarding.
