Managers having high levels of competency, skills and high self-confidence shall not be affected by pressure or challenges as they are trained to handle and overcoming the same without affecting their performance.

On the contrary, unskilled or inexperienced managers may develop stress, fear, and lose their self confidence which can adversely impact heir performance.

There are different personalities that behave differently under pressure. I work better when I am over loaded and become lazy if do not enough challenges to keep me thrilled. generally speaking work pressure should impact positively since this is one basic requirement of aanagerial role, it is not necessary though. As I said different people bahave differently under pressure.
