If human behavior was regulated on social media, it wouldn't have become the phenomenon that it is today because it wouldn't have served the purpose that it was created for - human monitoring.

Social Media is the world's biggest monitoring tool; being used by marketers and governments to monitor human behavior and sometimes influence thoughts.

For example, blogging became very successful in the early2000s because it was portrayed as a "control free environment". However100s of political activists were identified and recognized by governments due to their blogging activities.

Social media is a reflection of real life, so if there's any regulations applied to the real life they should be applied to it as well.

I don't think it is necessary for human behavior to be officially regulated in social media. I have always believed in the Millian principle that in a  free market of ideas, the truth will emerge. Why regulate when social media gives us the tool to speak up when something is bothering us, to create networks to fight for a cause? We've seen how powerful Netizens could be in moving people, toppling dictators, standing up against racism, abuse and corruption.

Let there be a competition of ideas, let there be diversity, let there be differing opinions, let there be freedom of expression, debates and discussionbecause only when we let live will we learn.

The topic, whether to put boundaries over human behavior on Social Media, or not, is a very sensitive and diverse topic. If we regard the topic economically, we have to acknowledge the role of Social Media in Marketing and PR. Social Media Operators are investing intensively in their logarithms to capture the human behavior so that they can understand the consumption pattern or changing trends of human behavior. Regulations on human behavior, in this regard, would kill the sole purpose of Social media from the point of view of the operators and of those companies that are using Social Media for their marketing and market research purposes.

However, internet criminality and cyber bullying is a side effect of Social Media that we shouldn't leave out of the equation. Therefor, intensified monitoring is necessary. It is also important to define which extent of abuse and insults should have consequences by law for users.

Human behavior can be regulated starting from us, from our well behaved, honest and polite feedback.

Dear Mr Amal, Thanks for inviting me to answer however the question is lil incomplete for me to understand n answer still I ll try. Yes there should be regulation on human behaviour in social media if nt legal atleast moral. Though there is no penalty for not paying moral responsibility . Social media gives a freedom to everyone to express their views, understanding, perception and logics. To you expression some ll agree n many disagree. Till an expression is to a level of discussion its healthy n make other readers to get clarity on their understanding & logics but it should nt turn to personal taunting or disrespect. Keep thing in mind that whenever you using social media as a channel to express be open for critics too. Put forward your views without pointing.

While there is no doubt that freedom of expression should be every man's fundamental right, we must also not forget that every right comes with a duty and it is actually freedom that demands maximum responsibility and accountability. If we, as citizens, of a country are able to set broad limits for ourselves on what we express and how we do it, then regulation will not bother us. But since there are also those who need to be taught how to handle their freedom responsibly, regulation is a necessity.

Not at all, that's what makes social media more effective and engaging.

i think behaviour  on social media  should be individual responsibility.People should understand that freedom of speech or any freedom always come with some duty and responsibilities.

Like what you are posting and what impact it can bring to some one's mind or  create an image for some body.
