While MBA is the most sought after course for students aspiring for a corporate career, Finance and Marketing are the two most popular specialisations that students go for. While a specialisation in Finance means getting a very high-paying job in banks and financial institutions, roles for marketing students are diverse and challenging. Though some students feel that Finance students have a stable market, many feel that Marketing students climb the corporate ladder faster.
Both field's have their own importance. Just go for that field in which you are interested, what other people say doesn't matter.
Go for MBA finance. Marketing is very target oriented job. Always run after the customers to meet the targets.
What matters the most is your interest and your excellence in the field you are interested in.

Sales and marketing are more geared towards a type of personality while finance is for a different type of personality.
It depends sales and marketing are more related to words, thoughts and images.
finance is pure math, practice and dealing with equations and numbers.

Both fields are helpful and have demand , and in order to be successful in any field you should love what you do or what you study. Technically , MBA in Finance requires a good background in finance and calculation.However make your decision based on what you like; in what you feel you can perform well....
