Normally one among Team Players alone be made as Team Leader. Because he is good player. Such leader naturally is good player but to lead the team, by nurturing to develope every player to become like him.
Then alone he can play less to lead more. By this way the success is evident, even if he doesn't play effectively.
Leader who not only order or allocate the tasks but also participate in the work with other team members, he or she can be a good team player. For example, good team player never say "DO IT" ,always say "LETS DO IT"..
