Civil Engineering has a very close relation with Human History. Civil Engineering discipline has been developing, flourishing and advancing right from the beginning of Human civilization. Well it is better to say right from Stone Age when man learned to create houses for shelters. And from then Humans have created various structures, buildings and many marvels including the Pyramids in Egypt, by the combination of lots of mathematical calculation. By known or unknown, Civil Engineering was always a part of a human civilization.
But its Existence, importance and need of Civil Engineering Discipline was unknown until theth century, when the term coined by John Smeaton who is considered as a father of Civil Engineering, and he constructed Eddystone Light house.
