Everybody's point of view is different regarding viewing a thing. Some people concentrate on the overall thing rather than going into details. Some people go in to details to relate with the big picture. It completely varies from person to person based on his/her strategy.
I think the best to concentrate more on the big picture and donot lose much time with the details. but still the details are important
I do not believe the statement is correct. Removing ALL details, what will be left to consider? On the contrary, I believe, one needs details to really see the big picture.
I disagree & agree - You have to really focus & work hard on the details to see the big picture, but at the same time too much obsession with detailing may spoil the total effect . Detailing is a very important part of a worthwhile creation as long as it does not stem the flow or rhythm of creativity or overpowers the total effect .
Hi Ahmad,
Good evening. Yes, the saying is completely true, but I think we're just trying to understand the statement by each word. The statement state that by ignoring or removing the unwanted details you can concentrate on big picture. Since, the by looking at all detail may divert your focus instead of that you should focus on few thinks and you should investigate further. If at initial stage you will focus at all the things, then maybe you will flinch due to fear of failure.
Well what I understand is details are good but to see a bigger picture you need not to to dig into each and every bit of data and information you have accumulated. These data and information can help you diagnose what specific thing "is or can go" wrong in smaller part of the bigger picture.
Like their is a sports car which represents a bigger picture, but their are so many details of data and information in the car that forms smaller picture in the bugger picture but it will deviate you from the bigger picture, like the engine details of dyno test of engine, their is aero dynamic, braking system details on hydraulics and etc..... but most important is the cost to manufacture these all part to form the bigger picture in the end their just a car and as a customer I wont be bothering so much of dyno or aerodynamic details, if I like the car I take it.
Unless I am a very sophisticated type of customer, going through all these details needs time and expertise which either comes at the cost of time or real money. I would agree with Japaneses statement at a certain perspective.
Okay , that was a wise from all of you , According to me we can use one theory to concentrate on details or being careless about , which is " The Need To Know " , thats mean if we faced any specific problem WE HAVE TO ASK AND SEARCH ABOUT EVERY SINGLE DETAIL RELATED TO THIS MATTER , on instance sales raises in a specific period of time , Or sales decreased in a specific period of time , if we known these details that affected our activity we can taking a control and manipulate these details to support what is benifit and avoid what is not good .Many thanks for all of you ,
We don't need any Japanese to tell us that without the frills(details) , we can see & understand the big picture better.
Agreed! (Details is the most important and if you will going to remove all details, concentration on the big picture will be there. not actually one lots will be able to concentrate on it.
