Is Octane Render for maya good for animation?

Thanks for directing this question toward me but I am afraid I can't help you here. I have never used octane render before for animation. I tested it few times but not extensively.

On their website they have some video animations rendered in Octane. That might give you hint that it can render animations flicker free but I don't know how much effort is required.
