We use allumiinum  i transmission line because it is cheaper than copper and the weight is lighter hence reduce weight on th tower loading

Because aluminum is much lighter compare to copper that create bigger sagging although copper current density is much better compare to aluminum.

Aluminum is lighter compared to copper. Weight is essential for a long-distance high-voltage transmission.

Aluminum has 61 percent of the conductivity of copper, but has only 30 percent of the weight of copper, thing that makes it more flexible to use as a waveguide in coaxial cables to carry high frequency signals, or as a protector in shielded pairs used for baseband transmissions, in the case of shielded pairs, aluminium also reduces the effect of electromagnetic radiations.

Because of  it low density and high conductivity property.

Aluminum electrical conductors. Aluminum provides a better conductivity to weight ratio than copper; it has cost and weight advantages over copper wires.

Weight is one of the most important parameters for high-voltage power lines that transmit power over long distances. So, aluminium wires are used in main overhead power lines
