well what is important or beneficial for your business is if you have customers who spend money irrespective of how long they spend at your cafe.
Ideally, it would be best if you have a large turnover of customers who all spend money which means you have more volume and revenue coming in. If you have guests who come in and order and espresso and sit there for4 hours using your internet and taking up a table meant for more than1 person then NO..thats not good.
i think shorter time is more beneficial,
