What will be your reaction, if your company due to financial issues, cuts back your salary?

If they cut your salary for a period of time with a strong documented reason i think you have to compromise and try to live with it wherein the company becomes a part of your life (family). 
But if they are bluffing just to cut cost for a reason or another so all you have to do is to step out in an ethical way and find another job.
