The size of the machine usually determines the pressure that it consumes.For example a one and half tonne unit cannot be charged upto 120 psi.Bigger machines say from 5tonne going upwards can be charged using the 115to 125 range on the suction charging port.

It depends on the inside air temperature for the suction but typically if its75 degrees farenheight inside the suction should be120 psig unless you have a tev metering device wich typically causes the suction to run lower than a fixed orifice metering device. Typically ten pounds lower . The discharge pressure depends on the outside air temperature totally . You add about twenty five degrees to the outside air temperature . example is if its75 degrees farenheight outside you add twenty five to get one hundred degrees then convert to psig using a pressure chart so at one hundred the discharge should be three hundred and twenty psig but to charge correctly you must charge using the subcooling method . Charge by factory specifications but if unknown then typically ten degrees subcooling is very close.

hi, anyone familar with R410A. For air conditioning system, R22 pressure in discharge is250psi and suction in67psi. But for R410A pressure will be more higher that R22. So what pressure is normal for air-conditioning systems. Besides that normal R22 compressor can replace with R410A
