What is an important factor during designing a software project?

Thanks for invitation, and I am really sorry for my late, because I were  had a lot of work.

I see that there are two things are the most important:

1. To code the software in modules (parts) this will make changing and fixing of software more easier,

2. To put a flow-chart write the code regarding to it, this will make you have a reference for the software which describe the software easily .

Need to consider the security features beside the other functional features at the beginning of the software project.

Make sure the project meets the requirements and be in touch with your customer/manager.

There is not one but many factors one needs to keep in mind while designing a software. Extendability of the code. When new requirements pop up you should be able to add new functionality easily. Loosely coupled so that refactoring is easy and reusability is achieved. Thought of growth, Scalability. Whenever the network or users for the software grows how will it behave is another important thing we need to think hen designing.
