Is media jingles a way of exceeding customers expectations?

Setting media jingle that exceeds customer expectations without the right reaction from the company side, might back fire negatively to the company. However, I believe that the proper way to start creating the right slogan for any company, company must start by managing its customers' expectations as per its capacity and ability to deliver.
