By IP configuration every devices with wifi built in automatically the network will assigned an IP address on it or the device will look for an IP Address..but to full control with it during operation still needs a software installation or driver, after installing it there is an option to share it..or adding a  printer to the next pc using wireless  because the driver is already shared on SSID or network and to the rest of pc will do the same  another thingis in one SSID only..

Fully agreed with "Paul"

there is a wide range of printers and scanners in the market, some of them has a network interface

others need a device such as computer, and share it throug this computer.

You are right that Printer gives output while scanner takes input, but fairly your question is how to share these devices on the network.
Question to be asked to yourself: a) are these Scanners and printers questioned by yourself Network enabled.
( i.e.
you can configure an IP Address on these devices).
-If the answer is yes, your question is answered, it can be shared for users to use on network by jsut configuring IP address to them.-if the answer is no, you need external devices to connect them on network.
( In my past experience, there are many USB enabled network devices which could connect a printer directly on LAN using RJ45 lan connector or wireless to your network.
(choice is yours).
( Last connected devices are from DLink , you can have a try on it).
b) Nowadays you have printers with scanners inbuilt and also having networking devices built in.
Make a wise choice with a purchase of the same.
Take care and Have a nice day Ladies and Gentlemen reading this blog.

Buy a network enabled printer & scanner.
Network enabled means devices have builtin LAN ports in them.
So, buy such printers & scanners that have LAN ports in it and you may assign these IP addresses the way you assign IPs to PCs.
  Cheers !!!!!

in fact Internet service provider hands us a single Internet Protocol address and our router shares it amongst all the connected devices in our home.

If you are using LAN, the source IP address of the two devices will be base on the computer where it was plugged/installed. To share this on network, make sure the device were shared (specify sharename). You can check the device if successfully shared through network with this simple procedure: window+r then input \\\\ipaddress on RUN then press enter. You will then see the sharename of the devices if successful. To connect with these shared devices, simply do right click on the shared devices and select connect.
