The truth seen by accountant could be different than the truth accepted by money owner or the person who is asking capital. But the last one has to accept the accountant statement as being documented with instruments like "1-1=0". No one can fight with this as long as answer is coming from a proven competent accountant.
Not all people hate accountants but only the people who work in the same company . Because accountants ask why this amount paid and so on .

Regardless the importance of question, i would say, No "Professional" dislikes Accountants...
Because they cannot compete with the accountant who is multi function person

Accounting is a reporting tool aims to give the proper information for a wide range of users (investors, lenders, employees, management, suppliers, employees unions, etc) so i think that mostly all the others need information from accountants.
I'm an accountant and I hate telling people what I do for a living - they always immediately assume that I'm boring! I can only guess that because most people don't actually understand what it is that accountants do, they assume it's a boring job, and therefore that the people doing it are boring too! Yes, it is a desk job, and often9-5, but there is an awful lot of brain work involved, not everyone could do it. I have met some boring accountants, but you get boring people in all walks of life. Maybe there is a slightly higher concentration of boring people among accountants than people with more 'exciting' jobs, but those of us who are ordinary people that happen to be accountants do hate being tarred with the 'boring' brush!
