1. Get to know your team members individually- what inspires them, what motivates them?2. Pay them their worth and fulfil your promises - if you have promised them a bonus or incentives for achieving their goals, then make sure they get it.3. Provide them a good working environment and resources to effectively carry out their job.4. Find out what they need and encourage ideas and implement them.5. Do not micro- manage your team. If you hire the right people then trust them to do their job. Don't stand over their shoulders.6. Lead by example- your team will always look at you as an example. If you come late or stay away from your desk for1h to have coffee break etc, then expect your team to follow the same habit.7. Treat your employees as equals and be fair. Respect them.8. In a sales environment, stop holding lots of meetings. Time is money. Have monthly competitions and reward the winner.9. Have regular team building activities Recognise and reward your staff for their hard work.10. Provide training and development. Encourage personal development and develop future leaders.11. Celebrate difference of culture.
