Both. Staff training makes them more ready to handle the job and pressures at the same time it'll benefit to boost performance because they are equipped with what they need to know.

Yes, staff training is at most important for the company, its makes the staffs realize and focus more on the company's visions and goals and this goes a long way for the sole aim of making profit still.

Good for your business

Training can improve business performance, profit and staff morale. Advantages to your business include:

  • you choose what new skills your workforce gains, targeting skills to meet the needs of your operation for now and in the future
  • training your staff can result in better customer service, better work safety practices and productivity improvements
  • you demonstrate to your workforce that you value them enough to invest in them, improving loyalty and staff retention. In turn, retention is a saving to you.
Good for your workers

Training has many benefits for your staff:

  • they acquire new skills, increasing their contribution to the business and building their self-esteem
  • the training they do can take them into other positions within the organisation – positions with better prospects and/or better pay
  • they’re upskilled to do new and different tasks, which keeps them motivated and fresh
  • because they’re being trained on your time, they see that you value them enough to invest in them. A good company is seen as one that retrains rather than churns.

Training needs should be emerged basically from the performance appraisal results .. in another term it should be "business Driven" ... hence I do believe that training planning should be based on achieving business goals and to leverage employees performance to enhance or fill in any performance gabs .

It's a business need rather than a benefit :)

I Think its important intialy for the companies if the training was recommended by the admins .

If the Staff asked for any training and agreed for the admins , I think it will be benefit for both : the staff & the comoany .

Staff training is an investment in the staff and the employer, a win-win situation. Employers that invest in their staff usually enjoy greater retention of staff and as staff develop and grow, they return this value to their employer. There are many advantages accruing to an employer that consistently develops their staff.
