Can not do anything you CEO certainly has ordered to do so, let see what happens indeed your CEO have more experience than you.
Companies do make policies and procedures to bring in changes in its way of operations so as to sustain itself in a dynamic business environment. Some employees are easily adaptable to this change and some find it difficult. So 'agreement' or 'disagreement' arises from this adaptability.
if, as an employee, you find a change in policy not in agreement with your beliefs or when it is against your interests, you should be frank enough to convey your apprehensions to the company through the laid down channel of communication. most reputed companies value suggestions and complaints and may adopt corrections if the apprehensions are felt valid.
However, every employee must understand that the organization as a whole has more importance than the feeling of a single employee. sustainability of the organization is very important because many people are dependent on it - there are a number of stakeholders (the owners, employees, creditors, the government, the customers and the general public) who derive benefits from the existence of the organization. So the individual should try to understand the need for change and must be cooperative. again if he/she finds that the change in policy is beyond his/her tolerence levels, it is better for him/her to look for a different job elsewhere. the world is large and there is a place for everyone. again, if the change in policy voilates your legal rights, there are legal remedies.
