what is the formula to calculate the number of lamps in a given cross sectional area?
The required No of Fixture=required Lux x Room Area/MF x UF x Lumens per fixture
MF =Maintenance factor
UF= Utilization Factor
SHR=Space hight ratio
Max spacing between the fixtures
Max spacing=Cielling to desk hight x SHR
Number of rows required
No of rows=width of room/max spacing
The axial spacing between each fixture
Lenght of room/number of the fixture in each row
transverse spacing
=width of room/number of the fixture in the row
NUMBER LAMPS = ILLUMINATION LEVEL(LUX REQUIRED) X AREA} / (FXMFXUF)
NO. OF LAMPS(N) = {ILLUMINATION LEVEL(LUX REQUIRED) X AREA} / (FXMFXUF)
WHERE F= FLUX IN LUMENS
MF=MAINTENANCEFACTOR
UF=UTILIZATION FACTOR
number of lamps = (AREA*LUX) / (LOL*COU*MF)
Wher,
Area= area of room
LUX= Required lux level of room
LOL = Lumens of light you are using
MF= Maintanence factor (for ac room which is0.8, for non ac room0.7,for road side shop .6, for work shops which is .5)
COU= Room index = (length*width) / ( (length + width)*Hm )
Hm = Room height - Reference plane Height
All calculation already calculated by Dialux
and Dialux consider all the factors which specified before calcualting
no of luminaire= llumen required x Area m/lamp lumen xU F x M F
number of lamps = (AREA*LUX) / (LOL*COU*MF)
