An interview asks about your past skills and work experience, your hobbies, special training and skills. An interrogation is when the person who is asking questions asks them in an unprofessional way and asks about personal things.

There is a vast difference between the two. An interview is voluntary in that the person who goes for an interview or even sits for an interview does it at his own behest for a specific purpose. Moreover an interview suggests that the person being interviewed should prepare according to the purpose. An interview is comparatively much shorter.

On the other hand an interrogation involves finding facts about an incident with the purpose of fixing responsibility. It may take much longer with a number of sittings to reconfirm facts. The person being interviewed would generally be under lot of stress.
