Disease like Cholera, Small Pox, Typhoid, Plague, Meningitis, HIV, Mums, Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Malaria, Skin disease etc are contagious diseases .These contagious diseases spread quickly within a dense population if someone of them attacked by these types of contagious diseases. The normal working activities may breakdown due to this reason. So authority should monitor and identify that contagious diseased attacked person and grant quarantine leave for him/her till he/she fully cure. Doing this action that office/company/factory will free from the risk of attack as a whole by contagious diseases and will run smoothly.
If an employee is diagnosed with a contagious disease, no need to apply for a leave, immediately put him in quaratine. It will not only stop the spread of the disease, but prevent other employees from getting sick.
It is but normal to quarrantine any person or employee afflicted with a contagious disease. Workplaces are places where there is interaction among employees. Physical contacts cannot be avoided. Oral discussions takes place in workplaces. It would prevent the disease to spread among the employees and the community ax a whole. Imagine if one person acquires the disease and transfers it to his or her family. And they in turn will infect other people. The result would be catastrophic. It will also lessen expenses to the company. Medical benefits or expenses will be reduced. And replacement of employees is avoided.
This particular issue has multiple dimensions. Firstly, everyone would avoid coming in contact with a person who has contagious disease. An office environment is no different since a lot of interactions take place between different employees. presence of an employee with a contagious disease will definitely affect the confidence and free mind of others. Therefore, productivity and efficiency is likely to be affected. Secondly, employees are the ultimate strength of the organization. No organization can afford to put the employees at a risk of being contracted with diseases since it will hinder sustainable operations. Thirdly, the grant of quarantine leave will be good for the affected employee since he can get proper treatment, rest and recuperation.
So, if we look at all the aspects mentioned above, we find that act of granting leave to affected employees are beneficial to all - the employee, his/her collegues and also the organization. thus it is definitely helpful to the environment of office.
