How do you protect motor against over voltage and current ?

voltage concerns can be addressed by installing over/under voltage relay

over current can be addressed by BMR/ Microprocessor relay

shortcircuit concerns can be addressed through ACB/MCCB/MCB depending upon the rating of motor

by using over voltage and current overload relay.

1- protection against over voltage:

          Over/Under Voltage Relay.

2-protection against over Current:

          Over load Relay (thermal or electronic).

          Fuses.

          Circuit Breakers (MCB, MCCB,..etc.)

          Residual Current Relay.

By hiring an engineer to provide you with a motor control panel.

Jst by the use of overload relay, protection fuse and miniature ckt breaker

simple you use mcb circuit breaker.its given over current , over voltage, arcing protection

through over current relay
