I will thank the management for the experience, knowledge and skills I gained by associating with the Company for five years.  Further, I shall walk down the memory lane to see how my performance has improved the functions of the company and if possible, shall make my suggestions that would be beneficial to the company and the staff.

Practically even corporates some times don't insist on exit interview. But this is really very serious and to be taken by a neutral HR personal who has no bias with the exit employee because he can dig out the real reason on which the employee may be leaving.

Exit interview will allow me to know how important I have been to the company in the last5 years and also help the employer to know how to value their staff. An employer who decides to organize an exit interview is a good organization that values their staff and wish it know if they are doing well and where to improve. So I would value an exit interview seriously. Thank you

An exit interview is necessary for both parties. It is indespansable stage of every organization where a chance to look back for the progress for the past five years for you and the company. It is a chance for both parties to express their appreciation for the jobs well done as well as for what the company contributes to the employee in totality. It is also a means of knowing on the part of the management on how you handle the handovers as well as the realization on the impact of your exit. For the part of the employee it is a way of expressing his gratitude to the company as well as to the whole organization for the opportunities and knowlege he gain in the company. It is also a chance to say sorry  for the misunderstanding and for the decision that you have made for a better you. For the employee to showcase to the company that he will leave peacefully and confident that all has been set and handovers were effectively done by submitting handover reports and delegation data. In the end, all well that ends well.

Both doors are open.

The Exit interview is as important as the Joining. The reasons for one separating are mainly understood by the Department / Section one works for. This interview provides an opportunity for the company HR to understand the requirements which could not be fulfilled and resulted in the separation.

From the separating employees perspective, it gives an opportunity to explain the situation to a neutral person who has a wider visibility. At times the HR may be able to offer another option to retain the employee and even refer the employee to the new organisation in the correct perspective.

Moreover, having served for5 years shows adequate time for a relationship and one must respect and care for the organization which has groomed one over the5 years.

Exit interview of an employee who has served five years is very pivotal to the employee and employer as well. It is my duty as an employee to share my good and not so good experiences with the employer which will help them understand where they need to focus in the coming years.

Also, an employee feels valued when their opinions and experiences are taken into account by the management. In many cases as an HR, I have received valuable input from exit employees which helped us to frame and define our HR policies more clearly and add value to the organization as a whole.

Hence exit interview is a pivotal exercise even if an employee has completed few months of service.

Whether an employee has worked for1 year or5 years; Exit Interviews must be considered as a Eye Opener feedback for the Corporate HR team because it always attracts more of grievance and concerns from the outgoing employee.

Most of the employees tend to put straight face and bluff on the reason for exit as Personal Issue or Professional growth. It is a bitter truth for the companies but instead of improving on their policies they intend to push this underneath the carpet stating it would be employee behavior than anything actually related to company.

I think exit interview is very important from the company as well as the emloyee's prespective.Especially after5 years in the organisation the employee can share his experiences and according to him what are the reasons that are a boon and curses to the company.Managment can explain him and maybe there can be chances of him staying back.It can be a learing experience to both the sides.
