Getting a customer to come back for more business is the best satisfaction certificate any service provider can have.  A few tips:

  1. Gather his requirements with clarity, when in doubt ask and be sure to have understood the exact need of the customer
  2. Deliver the requirement on time, with quality, in line with expectation
  3. If budget, time, and company process allow, delight him with an additional package
  4. Follow up (very important) and ensure that the customer is truly satisfied with the delivery and promise to assist in case of any gaps
  5. Most importantly, be polite and pleasant through out your interaction
