A stressful situation is a true test on how a leader handles the situation. The key to lead the people during a stressful situation basically starts with communication. Everything must be discussed thoroughly and tackle the issue direct to the point. Every voice must be heard and must come to an agreed solid solution to the problem. The leader as expected must always be on top of the situation and once an agreement/solution is done, it should be relayed to the team and must be implemented.
