Personality of a candidate for an interviewer is the first thing to get impressed, If he/she finds that the person has a history of achivements, then he/she tries to asses it through hsi enquires and questions. Your facial impressons, speaking style, confidence level plays a very important role to present yourself. In nutshell there is no short answer to the question that "How to impress/convince the hirer"
A good personality is a pre-requisite to good performance. An interviewer should carefully assess a candidate for good all round personality traits along with past performance. This will ensure that the candidate can be appropriately trained & will become an asset to the organisation given any job profile which suits his qualification & experience.
Personality, values and code of ethics come first. Either you have them or not. Performance can be controlled and improved more easily. Personality is the "raw" material and you can "invest". Thank you.
Interview is not but to impress your interviewer. Expectation of Interviewers may be vary difer from one another.
If interviewer is Qualified and expert in the field for which interview to be held, He wont care about personality and Body language.
If He is not so, we will look for this kind of qualities.
Normally in final touch, HR people only evaluate the candidate in that way (viz personality, demography, Communication etc) if that interview is for Management Level
your personality sometimes show your performance but it is not always.
At first glance the personality is viewed by the interviewer the professionalism comes second. A person with charming personality and with good professional skills will be more attractive than any body having either quality.
Every interviewer look for both , personality as well as performance . Both play a vital part in a working environment, no matter how good is your performance you cannot be a good team player but if you have good personality there is good chance to improve your performance.
It has been proved that good performance drive from good personality
Thank You
Performance is first. Personality is second.
In a job interview, the interviewer generally does not posses great deal of knowledge about your performance other than the proofs of qualifications and experience you provide. he is left with no much option but to rely on them though he takes all precautions before believing that they are reliable. notwithstanding the interviewer is an expert in the field who conduct a detailed study of your personality traits by means of your dressing style, confidence, style of interaction, ability to communicate effectively, adaptability to change, positive attitude, ability to learn and so on. truly, all these personality traits have direct bearing on your performance. your actual performance can be ascertained only by your superiors while at work.
Personality is most important but performance is always important
Personality plays an important role during interviews; performance could not be judged accurately during interviews, your past performance reflects in resume from your honors, awards, promotions and achievements in your career.
