% MARKETING plays very important role in sales strategy. If the consumer doesn't know about the product there is no long term stand-up for any product in market.
I will give9 for marketing in this scale. Generally people associate marketing only with promotion and marketing is more than that because marketing is cross-functional. Marketing people are the one who determines what product to be sold in the market by the company. Marketing department understands the needs and demand of the customers to serve the customers better than the competitors. Sales target for a product and sales forecast are determined by the marketing team of the company. Therefore sales target are achieved with the strong support of the marketing team.
i would say8 as Marketing strategy is a a core ingredient of Sales Strategy

Right now in Dubai bz of few start up companies with no Marketing Strategies and0% investment in Marketing sales growth is declined which spreads the word and brings the economy down.
Marketing act as a supportive tool for sales strategy. MArketing create awareness of the product or service among mass audience through advertisement and once they are awared of the product/service then the sales team approach audience or audience approach sales department for the product/service
