Young graduates can break established rules and unlock issues by doing so, sometimes they can be very creative. They may be hard working or not but what is expected is them to work in a clever way, create value and finally contribute to the company's overall improvement and growth.
Sometimes companies ask for impossible things: we look for a fresh graduate (of years old) with years of experience. Here in the Netherlands students are not even expected to work during the years they study. Some do have a side job, but most of the times it's not relevant to the field they want to work in.
I have also seen many companies asking for graduates that have internship experiences in reputable companies, how can I be hired if all companies ask for reputable experiences?
I think companies should be more open to hiring graduates and be willing to guide them through the working process, in the end they can have a good impact on performances of the company. You never know :)
Lack of training, so in order to ensure it is important to provide relevant training in the field, whereas in order to judge other traits their academic performance should be evaluated
!
For Freshers the field is open ,they should:
1) First should know their strong side of subjects and the areas of work related to that field
2) they should target and focus on that areas , they should go further digging that field in all aspect to got job
3) SHOULD TRY AND STRIVE UNTILL THEY GET JOB
Lack of real world experience and too high job expectations are the main problems of fresh graduates. Most of the companies now a days are demanding four key qualities that fresh grads must possess in order to get hired i.e. critical thinking, can-do attitude, initiative and last but not least effective communication skills.
They best thing they can present in interview is any sort of research project or thesis undertaken in studies. It will be really helpful to show their potential of understanding things, creativity, learning pace, and industry knowledge. Moreover, having interest in extracurricular activities is also a plus point for them.
We have inducted dozens of fresh candaites in group and what I have noticed and communicate the same to thsese youngsters that:
1) They wanted to achieve a lot in shortest possible time.
2) Sometime they are too demanding
3) As a freshers and due to age factor, seriousness or decorum to follow the rule is not%
4) Job hoping in a regular feature.
There are many other but being freshers, they have potential and energy which is good for employer. They have ideas and creativity which needs to turn into plans and this all depends on manager.
