The lean manufacturing starting as a program & end up as a culture. It is included all tools helps to achieve manufacturing excellence in all company categories starting from SCM, Operation, Maintenance...etc. If the team didn't deal with the lean manufacturing in day to day and make it the way they are dealing with each other then they won't get the fruit behind it.

Lean manufacturing is simply, optimizing cost and simplification of processes of Input and output products.

It will guide certain organizations on how to optimize lifecycle of the procurement process and collaborative methodologies if applies between vendor and buyer shall benefit both parties in terms of return.

The lean manufacturing has a narrow uncalculated . It is a methodology of simple, deep and effective work which originated in Japan , focused on increasing production efficiency in all processes from the management philosophy kaizen continuous improvement in time, space , waste , inventory implants and defects involving workers and creating in him a sense of belonging to participate in the process of proposing their ideas of how to make things better. The overall customer acquires what is not a product or service but a solution.     Continuous improvement as a principle that "everything can be improved" in each of the steps in the production process itself, represents a consistent and gradual progress that benefits all, where the team's efforts are invigorated to improve to a minimum maintaining cost profit margin and with a competitive price meeting delivery specifications in time and at the right hand as well as the quantity and quality without exceeding place.     The flow in the steps of the process should be as uniform therefore must be continued optimizing resources and eliminating what is not value added (space, capital and people): minimization of waste.     Troubleshooting and problem at its source by eliminating defects (looking for perfection) so as to meet customer needs for high quality.     Processes "pull": Produce only what is necessary on the grounds that the products are requested or pulled or achieve production of "pull" the end customer.     Develop a long-term relationship with suppliers from information sharing agreements and risk sharing costs.     When production volumes are lower, develop the ability to be flexible to produce different sundries nimbly wide range of products.Continuous improvements     Management     Planning and execution     Reducing non-value added activities     Excess production or early production     delays     Transport to and from the place of the process     inventories     processes     defects     displacementThe specific operation of these principles is implemented by implementing a strategy known internationally as the5 S known to come from the Japanese terms:     seiri: subordinate, sort, discard     seiton: systematize, order     seiso: clean and clear     seiketsu: simplify, standardize and consistent return     shitsuke: sustain the process, discipline Seiri (subordinate, sort, discard) You need to start working in the areas of administrative and removing unnecessary items for the operation. These items are placed in a temporary storage place where in turn they are used for another operation and disposed of or discarded those considered useless freeing spaces and eliminating obsolete tools are selected. Seiton (systematizing, ordering) "A place for everything and everything in its place." The elements that were not removed and which are considered necessary are assigned a place limiting its storage, display, and use paint lines marking areas with lines, silhouettes, making labels, signs, or using modular furniture, shelves, etc. The order in this way provides great benefits for both the employee and the organization Seiso (clean and clear) The systematic cleaning as part of daily work in turn allows inspection and fault identification of problems, wear, leaks, or any type of defect (FUGUAI) in addition to giving regular maintenance which makes it safer working environment reduce risks caused by dirt and can take concrete actions to reduce or eliminate the primary causes of contamination and providing direct benefits the former case the worker health and safety as well as the organization itself. Seiketsu (simplify, standardize and re coherent) Maintain cleanliness and organization states using the steps above. This step can say is the implementation phase. Firstly manufacturing can be defined as 'make (something) on a large scale using machinery.'

now lean manufacturing is defined as "make (something) on a large scale using machinery by eliminating waste/inventory.

Thus we have manufacturing by eliminating waste is known as lean manufacturing.

waste can be of any types, design, technology used, methods, transportation etc.

This is one of the modern day cost effective elimination method of waste within a manufacturing system. This not only eliminates the waste but it essentially utilizes this unwanted material to productive use in some other units of the manufacturing set up.
