What does it mean when someone says to another person: "I can't find your sliver lining"?

The metaphor by it self means: Silver lining (idiom), a metaphor for optimism in the common English-language idiom "Every cloud has a silver lining" So My best guess was "I can't find the bright side about you"... opinions?
