I believe being on customer service could give a lot of advantage on moving to an Admin job. CSR means you know how to communicate well enough to different level. you can resolve issues with in your knowledge in a polite and courteous manner. and that you could be a good team player all of this I think is essential to be a productive Admin worker and of course you should have a good sense of organizational skill and MS efficiency.

Agree with all and in addition and the most important is to be a TEAM PLAYER which is the key of success.
In teaching you always need to take people's feelings, thoughts and suggestions into consideration. In admin the best way to make work well is to share ideas and get other people's advice and ideas- team work!
In addition to the answers, I would add that Customer service involves many managerial tasks such as communication , organization, decisions ...etc, therefore it would be an important asset in managerial positions...
by improving and creating new methods to apply this expert on administrative work such the interaction with customers and applying quick solution for problems and etc
