Overrated, because her poem, <daddy* is one of the single best examples of literatory
If you want my personal opinion that it would be a biased one because I am a fan of Sylvia Plath's poetry and this poem in particular is not one of my favorites. But I am aware of it and have read it during my leisure time and analyzed it. Poetry in general is multidimensional and cannot be taken at face value. Whether, 'Daddy' is underrated or overrated is not a concern one should have with poetry. Poetry is like music and it should move something in the reader, if it doesn't then it has failed. I can not in good conscience say whether I think it is overrated or underrated because the way I feel about her poetry will affect my answer.
Probably underrated, overall.I'm not a great fan of poetry, but her poem, "Daddy" is one of the single best examples of literature I am aware of, in any form or genre
