Repetition in the poem "The Hollow Men" by T. S. Eliot, serves a number of purposes:1. it sets up a beat or rhythm2. it adds sound, in the stanza 3. it focuses on "we" statements, making the poem inclusive of all people that identify with the poem4. by repeating the uses of a "hollow men", it connects stanzas that differ in thought, making us feel that we are in the same place but maybe a different time or looking at a different aspect of the question
